The Menhir of Almendres is linked to the Cromlech of Almendres and is also aligned to the summer solstice.
The Cromlech of Almendres, outside Évora in Portugal is dated back to the Sixth Millenium BCE in parts, whilst other parts date to the Fifth Millenium BCE and still others to the Fourth Millenium BCE. It is aligned to the summer solstice.

This c.1905 mis-captioned card by Dechelette in Rennes shows the dolmen of Le Four Sarrazin in St-Just (Ille-et-Vilaine) already badly damaged in the early 1900s. The menhirs background left are part of Le Tribunal, a possible cromlech.

This card by Neurdein in Paris shows a better preserved part of the cromlech at the W end of the alignments at Kerlescan in Carnac (Morbihan). It was an enclosure made of taller menhirs set closely together but much of it has been robbed.

The cromlech du Moulin in St-Pierre-Quiberon (Morbihan) was bigger than those at Menec and Kerlescan but stone robbing over the years have reduced it to an arc of just 41 menhirs from its western edge. Card by Vassellier in Nantes c.1909.
