Today our 🇬🇧 colleague said goodbye by inviting us to #CreamTea and a discussion broke out whether the cream belongs on top, below, or not at all. Regardless it was delicious. We are sad to see him go and hope to see him again soon.

If you put the jam on your scone first, the scone will soak up the jam and make it claggy. The cream acts like a butter, a barrier between the fruit and the floury carbs, just like in a sandwich.

I'm not just saying this because of my Devonian heritage. It's just common sense.
