The Bronze Age standing stone at Cregennan near Cader Idris, #Snowdonia. It stands a good 2ms in height, or very nearly. Another scan of a photo taken in the late 90s.

A splendid day in the hills surveying the last stones for the PhD and eating lots of cake: Carreg y Big (stone of the point) here with a distant Cregennan Lake and the puffiest clouds. Always happy days in the hills!

A just-off-the-road, but not-often-noticed entrance to the underworld near Cregennan Lakes for #PortalSaturday Inside is a short Indianna Jones adventure of broken glass and jagged metal and probably huge spiders and snakes - but I didn’t get right to the back and so didn’t meet them.
