I went to check the mail a few minutes ago and found 4 of my crocuses that I planted two weeks ago have sprouted!

Started the first pair that are intended to be sold. The yarn is from #TheSheepyshire and is called Pixie Dust. So far, it reminds me of the first crocuses and daffodils poking up through the snow so I think I’m going to refer to them as Crocus. #DBHSocks

It's ok. I used to enjoy the autumn weather and crisp clear skies of early winter but, like most pleasurable stuff, the ME/CFS put they kibosh on that

I did some heavy "lifting" in the garden today, planted a couple of tulip and crocus pots for Dr. Mrs. Hatrack, and put the last of the alliums willy-nilly around the prairie and cottage gardens.

I still have nearly 100 tulips (THEY WERE ON SALE!), some daffs and crocuses, and the garlic to plant.🌱

Edward Balls (1892-1984) was an avid plant collector and frequently took photographs of the places he visited. Our Archives team hold a few of his photo albums like this one showing his Turkey expedition in 1934. Luckily for us, he meticulously annotated and listed his photographs. #KewLA
