Holy crap, I’m glad we aren’t using CroudStrike. That’s a massive headache I wouldn’t want, especially on a Friday.

En realidad el problema lo causa el antivirus/antimalware croudstrike y no el propio Windows, pero al final el resultado es ese 🤷♂️

The croudstrike downage broke the entire keycard system for the hotel my mom's staying at so no one can get into their rooms. They only have a single master key so they have to send some guy to individually let every single person into their hotel rooms

someone pushed a bad update at Croudstrike and now every single business windows machine (that used them) is bricked. 90% of flights are grounded worldwide. lol!

I sometimes questioned my smartness in switching from Computer Technician, where I had been for over 15 years, to my current role which is not that. I felt like I had left behind lots of my skills and knowledge.
Then something like Croudstrike happens and I am so happy that isn't my issue today.

I learned that on a trip to hawaii-- working in the airport before my flight took off was the WORST
Now I make sure I'm never The Guy, and it paid off in spades on croudstrike friday when work had several issues, (completely unrelated; we're a competitor) and i was on a plane with no wifi.
