Tonight’s horror flick was John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness. Surface religious horror aesthetic (throw in some nuns and a shit ton of crucifixes and candles) + fake academia (tweed, briefcases, random philosophizing). Count me in.

But where the hell was the grad student union?

i'll never forget my CoE coworker telling me "the difference between us is that we wear crosses and catholics wear crucifixes because you're weird and you like suffering"

I hope he VERY SOON is in a coffin:
🔸decapitated
🔸a wooden stake through his heart (if he had one)
🔸a silver bullet though his brain (if he had one
🔸in a shitload of garlic, holy water, and crucifixes

That should stop the bastard coming back via another election rigged for him by Elon Musk

Jonathan: hmm, maybe those people giving me crucifixes, doing the sign of the cross, and begging me not to go to Dracula’s castle were on to something

The set was just as just as versatile, a series of steps, platforms and crates surrounded by a wooden scaffold (that brought to mind imagery of crucifixes and stakes) that allowed the actors to ride coaches, explore castles and ride the Demeter on its fateful voyage.

People should toss "holy" water at him and shove crucifixes in his face whilst screaming "GET OUT, DEMON! THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!"

I would love to just have a bunch of old WWII guns as wall decorations the way people do crucifixes
Just have a fucking rifle over every door way

Jfc… just from the phrasing I can tell this man hypocritically believes in Zion dust and crucifixes but not fairy tales.

'Jane’s Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, Flaming Lips and the Lemonheads all had roots that stretched way back before 1991 but were awarded a seat at the top commercial table after Nirvana opened it up.'

Up to Series 3 and despite initial reservations about Grace it & Happy Valley remain amazing productions
Flippant question: do Catholic homes still have crucifixes & pictures of the Sacred Heart on the wall?

How far will this go? Will people be required to remove crucifixes, stars of David, kippahs, tichels, hijabs, turbans, bangles, bindis, signet & wedding rings, & fruit & other motif badges, & dress in monochrome lest colours trigger someone's hurt feelings? Oops - monochrome priests & nuns..

Roman Officer: So it's important to thoroughly clean the crucifixes between each execution with hot water AND soap

Roman Solider: Why is that sir?

Roman Officer: To avoid cross contamination

Probably a Christian with a dozen crucifixes hanging around the house.

I work at a place that sells jewelry. A whole lot of crucifixes because the company's founder was super Christian. I've been keeping an eye out for symbols of other religions, particularly buddhism. It's been 3 years and for the first time ever I saw a single jade carving pendant of Budai. Lmao.

Ever notice how grift and crucifixes go hand in hand?

The intersection of religious devotion, financial exploitation and moral bankruptcy has a deep history.

It’s about the grift. It’s always about the grift.

I admit that I'm very ambivalent about secularism/laïcité. As a teenager, I advocated for removing crucifixes from classrooms and collected signatures for that. As I grew up and experienced the world, I've become more tolerant of religious expression in public places, but...

I like the upside down crucifixes. Nice touch. Best not to wake him I imagine. Might not end well. :3

Our rural county sheriff deputies I've seen wearing their crucifixes on the outside of clothing like we see MLB players. I've been told by several neighbors that sheriff doesn't respond (2-3 hours later) to known "gay houses" 911 calls.

😂😂 Looks like it’s time to redo all those inaccurate crucifixes. Are they gonna need to change the whole design now that we’re dealing with a quadruped?
( Or maybe, according to the highly complimentary reporting, a pentaped)😁

A sheltered life I've had, probably cuz I like drawing grils~

Forget crucifixes, booba & vulva keep the evil spirits at bay~

Executives recoil from the headcount lines in a P&L the same way vampires recoil from crucifixes.
