I know this is incredibly petty, but I have such a strong desire to see these crypto Treasury companies fail that it's quite deranged.

the US treasury is trying to shift the national debt into the hands of crypto investors no i am not kidding

"we're going to end the regulatory weaponization against crypto" is an insane thing to hear from the treasury secretary when the most visible aspect of crypto to the avg person is idiotic shitcoin rugpulls.

Will Trump family crypto holdings provide an economic umbrella for the entire nation after Treasury bonds collapse and the stock market crashes? We asked three recently-pardoned financial criminals.

It is objectively hilarious that two of the whales in the Treasury bill market are crypto stablecoins and Warren Buffett

Man who’s been looting the treasury and getting rich off of crypto while in office is big mad at reporters for reporting.

Trump doesn’t get to “give some of the tariff money to farmers.”

The tariff money is in the US Treasury, not a Trump slush fund.

Congress has to appropriate taxpayer dollars to put farmers on welfare.

Although Trump should pay it out of his crypto profits since he caused it.

I’d be willing to bet all the money in the US treasury that crypto will eventually call for a Fed bailout.

European countries are, smartly, talking about defense spending, not pouring their treasury funds into vapid crypto Ponzi schemes. The US has been captured by hostile foreign powers, criminals, and idiots.

- the treasury has started buying back its long term debt and instead financing itself via short term treasury bills rather than 10- to 30- year bonds
- this short term debt is then bought by crypto marketplaces/stakeholders to back their stablecoins

This is 100% perjury. The idea that the Treasury Secretary doesn't know anything about one of the most important figures in crypto facilitating a giant bribe to Trump and then getting pardoned is laughable. He would literally be the only person in the finance world who didn't know about it.
KIM: When Binance founder Zhao pleaded guilty to violating money laundering laws & was sent to prison, Binance injected billions into Trump's business & Zhao was pardoned. Is that a conflict?

BESSENT: I'm unfamiliar with any of that

KIM: Is it a conflict?

BESSENT: Again, I'm not going to respond

The final nail in the coffin will be that the crypto grifters take our treasury money.

Remember when a group of crypto bros bought a copy of 'Jodorowsky's Dune' for $3 million (around 100x more than it was worth) thinking they could turn it into NFTs and an animated series because they didn't understand what copyright is?
The Saga of the 'Dune' Crypto Bros And Their Very Pricey Mistake Is At Its End
In a dismal crypto climate, the group is looking to sell its 'Dune' bible and cash out its treasury. “Really wish this worked out better," the group co-founder said.

FT: “Struggling crypto-hoarding companies are launching share buybacks in an attempt to boost their stock prices, in the latest sign that this year’s ‘crypto treasury’ craze is unravelling.

“.. It’s only been six months and we’re already talking about their demise ..”

Musk is now bullying the head of the Treasury to step down.

We're basically looking at a recession entirely because crypto guys looked at the biggest purse in the country and found the us treasury.
Lotta awful shit in the bill but the ban on crypto regulation is gonna look especially bad in a few years after that bullshit crashes and takes out everything else in its wake

Leaving aside corruption... establishing a crypto reserve is a terrible waste of money. It will involve the Treasury issuing debt and using the proceeds to buy the crypto. Existing holders get a windfall at the expense of the Treasury.
This was the end goal of crypto aligning behind Trump - the crypto economy has very few actual dollars in it and relies on finding new people to hold the bag to get their dollars. The US government is the ultimate bag holder and they’re going to use your tax dollars to bail out crypto owners.

US aid to Ukraine since Feb 2022 totals $128 billion, mostly older weapons, not cash.

The crypto industry is seeking a bailout of $100 billion from the US Treasury. That is cash.

Remember that when crypto CEOs accuse anyone else of "grifting."

As I said repeatedly during Trump 1.0, Trump sees the U.S. Treasury as his personal piggy bank. But back then, he couldn’t find a way to siphon it to himself. This time around, he has: shakedowns, crypto, and the slush fund. With the added bonus of paying off his own shadow army.

This is starting to look like the corporate crypto treasury "strategy."
