#cryptoBro
i haven't talked about it here that much but the fact kurumada was on the verge of going bankrupt because of a cryptobro syphoning his funds for future projects AND DESPITE THAT he was still willing to finish the stories he created is so inspiring. truly one of the greats

I thought she was a cryptobro

My headcanon is that Diogenes was a reformed Bronze Age cryptobro.
Some background:

Diogenes the Cynic was a philosopher who lived in modern-day Turkey and Greece about 2400 years ago. After being exiled from his home in Turkey for doing some kind of shenanigans with coins, he ended up living an impoverished life in Greece.

Stupidest cryptobro ever realizes Trump only adopted crypto in order to run a massive scam

"What they basically did was a money grab," said David,... "Why does he need to keep doing it? He's literally a billionaire. Like, how much more money does he need?"

'How much more money does he need?' Crypto bros furious at Trump over his 'cash grab'
The young crypto investors who fell in love with Donald Trump's embrace of the industry when he ran for president are now furious that he used them to enrich himself and his family.Trump's personal ve...

Cryptobro/AI scammers don't hold a candle to dentists. I can't imagine a single more fraudulent and predatory group of con artists than them

Apparently, every time I go to the dentist I need this and that service and so on and so forth, but ofc its NEVER covered by insurance

To Liberals who jumped the Xitter ship: the founder of Bluesky is a billionaire right reactionary who wanted a cryptobro forum. It's what it is cuz furries, disabled, trans folx shared invite codes. B4 you go after our differences & leftist sensibilities, remember we're why this isn't another Xitter

You know, when it comes to mongames by indie studios, I have tried a couple and so far... only one outright disappointed me, that being TemTem. Watching a video on the matter, it becomes clear why as good lord the entire design philosophy was like if a Cryptobro made a Pokémon game.

The death of Hill Country was partly my and my coworkers' fault; so many happy hour margs, no full price ones. And blocking off the windows is almost as great a crime as the cryptobro aspect. (If they wanted to be vampires, they should have just taken a fully basement space far away from normies.)

I criticize the pointless inclusion of AI into a site.
Two AI accounts like the post just because it mentions AI.
One of them then follows me.

It's so much like cryptobro social media, it feels like a rebranding.

As I'm fond of saying, to win our movements need a mass politics of technology.

Cryptobro fantasies of unchecked corporate rule with more Greek columns is NOT "tech utopian," it's "tech fascism."

Let us remember that just because something is ridiculous doesn't mean it isn't dangerous.

Ofc, before I arrived, I’m told there was a lot more cryptobro discourse. So, it wasn’t all good lol

Oh the frabjous day when blocking became a thing. In one swell foop, the earliest cryptobro user base was shunned to oblivion.

One of my favorite cryptobro stories
September 24, 2026 at 9:45 PM
digital service taxes to shareholder agreements, from the war on proxy advisors to the drop in IPOs in favor of private markets; from gov't stakes in Intel & rare earth mineral mining to DOGE, from Palantir DHS/DoD contracts to taking Twitter private, from Ellison-backed M&A to cryptobro pardons

I've felt that guilt when accused of being an AI/cryptobro a couple of times on bsky. That doesn't mean you can't cast the false accusations into the fire, though. Preserve yourself first.

i feel it's my duty to tell you that those specific images are fake engagement bait made by a cryptobro though
