I'm trying to work out how the ROM in the C1 floppy disk interface for the ICL One Per Desk stores file metadata in the FAT12 filesystem.
I've discovered that the "ctime resolution" byte holds the file type. However, it seems that PROGRAM & BASIC files need more info. Guessing ctime and cdate used.

Once we've dropped-and-reread one of these inodes and it's been quiet since, we memoize its ctime, so later runs know it's settled and skip DONTNEED'ing it entirely (until it gets edited again), which, as of now, works. (5/6)
