The first terabyte storage I saw, in the late 80s, was an 8' cube
lined with tapes picked up by tape-retrieval robots at Livermore Labs.
The most recent TB I saw is some $50 little USB SSD.
Moore's Law and tech churn basically means recopying archives is the only way to keep them accessible.

My Companion Cube is finally finished! It starts with a mini-CR Box, hearts are card stock, & I added the Aperture Labs stickers to make the Portal reference a bit more obvious/it's not JUST hearts. ⬇️

By far my favorite and daily go-to is the Fidget Cube by Antsy Labs.
All the clicks, twirls, swirls are just right. I was gonna pick a fav side, but I can’t. I’d love a metal one if they ever made it.
