Shared the service at All Saints Cuddesdon this morning with Mum where she celebrated and I preached. I wonder when the last time was a Mirfield ordinand preached in Cuddesdon.

An early start for my Waterways Breeding Bird survey for @btobirds.bsky.social along the River Thame from Cuddesdon. Great to hear 12 singing Reed Warbler, a site record due to habitat improvement by @riverthamect.bsky.social. 2 Hobby were also notable 👌🏻

A Gadwall, the first I’ve recorded in the 12 years that I’ve surveyed the River Thame at Cuddesdon, was an intriguing record on the river this morning for the Waterways Breeding Bird Survey.

I visited a chapel designed by an architect friend yesterday. My God, it is utterly glorious:

Beautiful morning for my Waterways Breeding Bird Survey for @btobirds.bsky.social along the River Thame from Cuddesdon. 2 Goosander were a surprise, good numbers of Reed and Sedge Warblers singing, plus Cuckoo.

Did a leisurely loop up to Cuddesdon this morning. Gave the Chilterns a miss after last weeks Audax!
Nice tailwind on the way back made up for the slog on the way out 🚴‍♀️ 💨 💨 💨👍

It hasn't disappeared. There's a medlar tree in my garden. We have delicious jelly from its fruit every year. There was also a medlar in the orchard at Cuddesdon, which is where I got the inspiration.
The forgotten medieval fruit with a vulgar name

Medieval Europeans were fanatical about a strange fruit that could only be eaten rotten. Then it was forgotten altogether. Why did they love it so much? And why did it disappear?

Bishop Humphrey Southern took his last service as Principal of Cuddesdon on Sunday at the final residential weekend for part-time students for this year. Our Chair of Governors, Bishop Michael Ipgrave, preached.

Teaching a weekend called 'Creation, Community and Church' to trainee vicars and lay ministers at Cuddesdon, near Oxford UK, this weekend. Such a beautiful place to think about these important issues.

I really miss them being included in services. One of the joys of Cuddesdon has been says psalms antiphonally.

I played a very small garden party years ago at Ripon College Cuddesdon, when I was an accordionist in scratch bands

Gaz Coombes from Supergrass came up with his toddler and said 'look Raya, music!'

Which was stretching the definition 😂

I do now have a college email address, and have signed up for the Cuddesdon Induction weekend, which I especially appreciate as I didn’t attend any college open days.

another to The Holy Hill today: someone has left their sunnies in my #taxi. I’m getting so many fares to Cuddesdon recently that I am starting to think the Lord might be trying to nag me about something.

Change of plan. I can’t do the original ordination training pathway we’d planned for as they’ve said firmly I am absolutely too young. It’s looking like I’ll switch to the Cuddesdon Part Time Pathway (🥳), which has more teaching hours, six residential weekends plus an Easter week residential.

The wet winter has changed the habitat for my BTO Waterways Breeding Bird Survey near Cuddesdon. Record counts of gulls, plus Little Egret, Yellow Wag, Cuckoo & Mandarin. Fewer woodland species, with the woods flooded and access limited #oxonbirding
