This is one of the many things Daniel Abraham's Dagger and Coin series does really well - there are cunningfolk who can do bits magical healing but big magic is incredibly rare because it mainly belonged to the dragons who created the human peoples. Extraordinary series.

Some wild medicinals need more care than others. Skunk cabbage, a unique plant of the swamps, gives us a medicine that is VERY powerful for deep pain and to calm whooping cough. EXTREME care must be taken to remove 100% of the moisture from the plant. #witchsky #cunningfolk #healingplants #wildwitch

Eggshell vinegar. Put eggshells into apple cider vinegar. Let set for a couple weeks. Take a shot daily for healthy bones and joints. Dogs, cats, horses, goats... can all just have eggshells crumbled over their food for the same results. #folkmedicine #witchsky #homestead #cunningfolk
