Book cover Title: Nanny for the Firemen Author: Cassie Cole *****Book review***** Safe Haven I enjoyed the book, but I really loved that ending. 🔥💜🔥 Definitely gratifying! 🔥🎉 Clara goes from delivery girl to nanny. I appreciated that variances in laws by state, especially Safe Haven laws, took to the stage and the unexpected situation it created. Billy getting his comeuppance was almost as satisfying as Clara being properly shared between Derek, Taylor, and Jordan. OK. Maybe it's not that good, but it was a pretty fantastic twist. 😂 Clara's family - mom, brother, and brother-in-law - add terrific moments of comedic relief throughout. 💜😂💜 They also manage to create a bridge to prior characters of Cassie's. Cassie Cole Nanny Boxset 01 bks 01 03 UPDATED 6/2026: I love revisiting Clarice "Clara" Ricci and her hunky firemen, Captain Derek "Chief" Dahlkemper, Jordan Lloyd, and Taylor Heath. They are a mix of personalities that mesh well most of the time. Sweet, cute, combustible, and entertaining are good ways to describe them. Clara's mom's obsession with grandkids is hilarious. I suspect I'll be similarly minded one day, but for now, I'm chuckling at her antics. I listened to the audio book for this go round. The narrators, Dahlia Lynde and Curt Bonnem, are very enjoyable and do a wonderful job. DATE: 11.10.2025 TITLE: Fractal Recursion SERIES: Criminal Intentions AUTHOR: Cole McCade NARRATOR: Curt Bonnem RATING: BOOK: 5/5 stars NARRATION: 5/5 stars LENGTH: 4:39 NOTES Cole, Cole, Cole... Don't do this to me. Don't make me pity the creepy serial killer. Especially when he, in his adult years, has no redeeming qualities... Oh wow - that sure did the trick, thanks. And eww. I really love how Cole can do this. Never a dull moment in his books. Emotional whiplash is a common occurrence. And my nonexistent attention span keeps in check because if you let your mind wander even for a minute you're missing something and have to rewind. Thrilling from start to finish regardless if it's about the plot or the relationships. No spice in this episode (for obvious reasons) and I didn't even mind. OMG I hate you so much right now Cole! What an evil cliffhanger you left!!! Argghh!! Curt Bonnem's performance was fabulous as always.
