People who say tomodachi life living the dream had the “same problem” as animal crossing new horizons for “trading content for customizability” seems a bit silly to me because tomodachi life and animal crossing are two VERY different series and one benefits far more from enhanced customizability

I really think that Mastodon suffers from the belief that everyone desires the same sort of customizability that Linux offers and it was designed to appeal to that kind of nerd.
However, there just aren't enough of that kind of nerd and it makes the experience confusing for the rest of us.

Actually I'll just ditch my entire wardrobe for the parade and wear a garbage long sleeve/pants fit. That's legal and totally better than all the fashion effort and money I've put into my suits style/customizability /s
Love waking up to find out I'm banned from my favorite con's fursuit parade. @anthrocon.org this is ridiculous. I understand pre-approval and requiring to limit parade size but this is how I've always done fursuiting, how is a blanket no skin rule reasonable

the "macos as a frontend to linux" people never made sense to me because the things that make macos good for dev are that is already resembles linux at the terminal, and the things that make it bad for productivity (window management, customizability) are exactly where it does not.
