But also like there really isn't much to show from the DDE era? zombies, chicken, and island aren't much of anything. And also chicken_farm and zombie_training are such basic test maps. I can only assume training.bsp was a DDE map too that was updated for the next month to convert it to training_hub

Fascinating to me that that iteration was only alive for like... 5 months? March-July. 9 months if you count Nov 2007- Feb 2008 when it was a DDE project. Then it died between summer playtesting and having to help ship L4D1.

this actually reminds me of a DDE AU ive kept in the backroom that ive never told anyone about and probably wont ever tell anyone about because im a scared animal

Et pour beaucoup je vois pourquoi. Élus professionnel depuis des décennies, l'épouse s'est toujours occupée de tout pour leur permettre d'arriver pied sous la table, le cercle amical c'est les mêmes têtes depuis 1985, et ils ont été à la préfecture/DDE/grosse boîte du coin donc : ils savent.

The only thing that leads me to believe training wasn't a DDE map is the fact that it starts with a portal door. But also the fact that the photo you grab is an ACTUAL DOOR and it's the only photo that differs from how it's actually placed makes me believe that it was originally just a normal door
