She just found out that the first cardinal rule of perm maintenance is that you’re forbidden to wet your hair for at least 24 hours at the risk of deactivating the ammonium thioglycolate.

I had tried deactivating and reactivating a few times, but what I didn’t realize was that every time I reactivated and tried to go back to “normal,” I just went more in a shell to try and protect myself from the nonsense.
It’s good to have a place that I can actually be real. Appreciate y’all.

why doesn't Bluesky display this and why do I have to rely on a bot to do exactly this???
I know it's getting annoying mentioning of me deactivating but if I'm gonna experience the same issues I have with the other site on here, then I don't even know what to do at this point.

I can't control what companies shove into their services or programs, but you bet I am deactivating as much as possible and purposely not using it. I've essentially even hid my website from ai search engines, which sucks, and just means I need to keep active on socials and newsletter.

When you realize she wasn’t in the shower because she would have risked deactivating the ammonium thioglycolate and should have known it at having had say 30 perms in her lifetime.
