So let's take a second to talk about receiving feedback as a professional in comics.

This, along with hitting your deadlines ALWAYS, is maybe the most important knowledge you can have working in comics as a writer
Heather is of course 100% correct about all of this, and I will add on as part of collaboration: person who makes their deadlines and/or lets you know when and why they won't make their deadlines trumps "genius" almost every time.
Being good at collaborating is PART of being good at making comics in a professional setting.
Folks 99.9% prefer working with the "collaborates well but isn't perfect at the craft" guy than the "complete asshole who fights & makes the process hell at every step but is good at everything else" guy

Many US moon racers tend to forget that China too has an issue with keeping to deadlines on lunar programmes...
