Review by Timojhen Mark of Skitsystem’s ‘Ondskans Ansikte’ 10" in Maximum Rocknroll #160 (Sept 1996): SKIT SYSTEM - "Ondskans Ansikte" 10" More of everything that both Distortion Records and SKIT SYSTEM are known for - a nonstop pummeling of Swedish hardcore. While it's true that the genre is overflowing with lesser imitators, these guys definitely have the touch. Dual guitars, dual vocals, and a heavy layer of distortion over it all. The drumming is a bit linear and monotonous, but at least it's stuck on 'Fast' and nothing else. Despite leaning towards the predictable, I really liked it a lot. (TM) (Distortion Records, Box 129, 401 22 Gothenburg, SWEDEN) Review by Ken Sanderson of Tetsu Arei’s ‘Force’ EP in Maximum Rocknroll #160 (Sept 1996): TETSU AREI - "Force" EP This band has been around forever sharing space on the legendary "Eye Of The Thrash Guerrilla" comp with the likes of S.O.B. and (the perhaps more relatedly sounding) DEATHSIDE. They also released a sturdy LP of metallic mid-tempo hardcore on the Sunshine Sherbert label a few years back. Their sound has failed to change-rushing metal tinged hardcore with forceful shouting vocals in a solid but not over the top delivery. Four songs. (KS) (H.G. Fact, 401 Hongo M, 2-36-2 Yayoi-Cho, Nakano, Tokyo 164, JAPAN)

With MIL in ER. She is intermittently responsive, very weak. My relationship with her is not good but I hope I was wrong to call 911. I have sat deathside vigil too many times. This is not how I wanted to start 2024.

I don't often ask, but good thoughts and a candle lit are appreciated.
