the manual includes a circuit to build on the wire-wrap side that gives you a normal RS-232 connection instead of TTY current loop so I have a couple ICs for that on the way. now i can experiment with this and programming my logic analyzer for debugging 8085 programs

This isn't merely wasteful and stupid, it will actually harm our rovers already operating on Mars as that earthbound rover is still used for tests and debugging

Somehow, I noticed that today marks 109 years since the October Revolution in Russia, the subject of my perennial interest. I got The Bloomsbury Handbook of the Russian Revolution last year while visiting Hodges & Figgis bookshop to look for my Python Debugging book on the shelves.

And as we can draw from lisp we can also draw the complete game UX from the lisp side as well - the only thing needed is a bunch of hooks in the C core to sit on. For debugging it's also a great setup - we can just use slime/swank to connect emacs to a running game, and rewrite it while it is live.

At minimum: what it tried, what it ruled out, and its best guess at what's wrong — the hunch, written down. Without that you're debugging blind for the first hour.
