Also Anakin was bitchmade and could never make a decentralized polity maintain a Fabian strategy

I'm into Rust, Nix, Atproto, decentralized tech, and version control, and I think I may have unintentionally hit the single highest concentration of trans folks in the industry
Half my feed is about progesterone and i think I mainly got there by following or liking posts by people who are sane about AI

Putin has increasingly backed crypto-friendly reforms to help Russian entities skirt Western sanctions and facilitate international trade. EVEDEX does not enforce KYC (identity verification) and uses decentralized smart contracts providing Russians a vehicle to move assets across borders.

so decentralized lol
You'll also be able to look up your account status under our strike system. If you’re at risk of permanent suspension, you'll see that in the app, so it won’t come as a surprise. And as older strikes fall off over time, you’ll see your standing improve.

If only DNS was a decentralized protocol and anyone could run a resolver on their local network.

Oh wait. It is!

blaming an employee less than 24hrs after getting popped for $6bn might be the least-professional thing i’ve ever seen in my life

Massively decentralized process in which the feds play no legitimate role

Especially if you claim to be in the business of “decentralized finance” lol

Nothing screams "decentralized" more than a whole ecosystem freezing its assets waiting for the next move from a central actor.

> decentralized RAM is so wasteful

if God wanted us to put all our compute in one place, He wouldn't have set up the Sun to shine energetic photons evenly* over the Earth's surface

One thing that’s a hallmark of decentralized finance is the ability for someone to halt redemptions

Nothing like a decentralized, digital currency to keep my money safe. Who needs a government insured bank?

"Let women run things" isn't decentralized power.

It really is. Parliamentary systems, candidates typically owe their careers to the Party.

And yet in the US due to the decentralized aspect of how politicians get elected they are their own warlords, with their own power base, patronage networks and act accordingly.

The Boston Globe invited me to write about one of my favorite themes, namely how the Constitution's decentralized model under which states run federal elections has helped protect America from getting into a situation where some strongman in Washington can begin dictating how elections are held.
‘We would be so cooked.’ Federalism prevented Trump’s election takeover. | Boston Sunday Globe
Walter Olson is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute and writes often on election law. Under the US Constitution, elections are run by states and localities, and that decentralized way ...

What I’m not worried about: the count. Our system is too decentralized to rig, and state officials and lawyers are ready.

The only way they win is if you decide your vote doesn’t matter. It does. Vote.

Spot on @vflowers84.bsky.social! But I think that it is also opportunity if people will come to understand #decentralized technology gives them more control than they've ever had. Decentralized technology is #distributed #control. As long as it's #open #source. I have promised to build one.
When the market/AI bubble bursts, I hope it is not a repeat of 2008.
Bailouts and no prosecutions. The public reaction could get very extreme.

"Blockchain intelligence" is an oxymoron. All of a sudden the decentralized, unregulated, lawless network is dependent on enforcement by the state.
U.S.-based blockchain intelligence firm TRM said a North Korea hacking unit was likely behind the theft of more than $6 billion on Binance, the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange. Binance said it had temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed.

“decentralized” you say…
October 29, 2026 at 9:45 PM
You’re exactly right. That’s one of the great things about a decentralized election process.

The biggest hack in crypto history happened today. North Korea stole $6.36 BILLION dollars. Because it's decentralized, how does one even address this huge crime spree?
