really bleak stuff out of Texas with the government coercing hospitals into opening "detransition" clinics and decertifying "woke doctors"

“Decertifying Hope” is an accurate slogan for the Trump administration

To understand how crazy, and dangerous, this move is, just realize that Trump is now declaring that FAA airplane safety certifications will henceforth be made by politicians who know absolutely nothing about aircraft safety.

If you thought a door falling off was bad, just wait for what's next.
Trump says he’s decertifying Canada-made aircrafts and threatens 50% tariffs | CNN Business
President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he is decertifying all aircraft made in Canada and threatened a 50% tariff on those planes until American-made Gulfstreams are certified in that country.

Not just tariffs, decertifying

The president has no authority to change election rules, requiring passports to vote, attempting to abolish mail-in voting, or decertifying voting machines. Listen to experts discuss how we challenged these efforts on the latest episode of The Briefing with Michael Waldman: bit.ly/48SQYPc

Wtf, "decertifying all aircraft built in Canada",? Is that supposed to apply to the fleets of regional jets US carriers operate every day?
The team from @theaircurrent is seeking more information on this statement from the President. A massive amount of the U.S. fleet of mainline, regional, helicopter and military aircraft are "made in Canada."

The order does a # of other bad things too--including purporting to pull federal funding from states that don't require citizenship documents, threatening funding to states who count absentee ballots that were sent on time but arrive after election day, decertifying voting machines & more

Decertifying nearly 800,000 marriages would devastate American socioeconomic systems in ways that we cannot fathom. Not only would queer people lose social recognition of their relationships, they would also lose tax, insurance, and other economic benefits given by marriage. Unnecessary cruelty.
But I was told by the New York Times that marriage equality was a stunning success that succeeded because of its modest political goals.

Almost like the last two decades of progress were hollow assimilationism into a collapsing neoliberal order rather than actual liberation.

Fascinating jmp from Morgan Foy at UC Berkeley. "Union members appear negatively selected by teacher value added." Decertifying teachers unions improves student educational outcomes.

I can’t shake the feeling that all this nonsense discourse about The Groups making Democrats lose is just shitty pundits absolving themselves of responsibility when Trump’s Treasury starts decertifying nonprofits

Decertifying the police unions
What would a left-wing version of the very successful right-wing project to destory public education by undermining it with charter schools and vouchers look like? (Doesn't need to be in education, trying to brainstorm some ideas here)

Wait, didn't President Pantsload say he was decertifying CRJs?
🚨 BAD NEWS: Air Wisconsin sold 13 CRJs to ICE’s flight broker — MAGA-loving, immigrant-hating, election-denying CSI Aviation.

Now its furloughed flight attendants have been called back. Do they even know they’re going to be flying shackled migrants??🚨

Trump signed an executive order to blow up the 2026 election: decertifying voting machines, blocking mail ballots, demanding citizenship papers to vote. This isn’t about “election integrity”—it’s voter suppression on steroids. This is how authoritarians rig the game.

setting aside the Michael Scott "I declare BANKRUPTCY!" nature of this xeet, decertifying all Canadian aircraft would ground basically 90% of the regional commuter planes in the USA since they're all Bombardier CRJs

The courts said no 15 times. The Senate said no 3 times. The Supreme Court said no. Next logical step: tell the whole country.

Decertifying all Canadian-made airplanes -- De Havilland, CRJ, Bombardier, etc.

Which, unless one of his advisors can explain to him why this is a dumb idea, means grounding pretty much the entire fleet of regional planes in US.

Announced via a Truth Social post, naturally.
