Decolonisation and knowledges of decolonisation produced outside academia supersede the fraction of knowledge pooled in by academia on the topic. This realisation, not a hindrance in the labour of epistemic decolonisation, invites us to engage other formations of knowledge.

Decolonisation form the main European empires has a fair claim to being the single biggest liberation event in the history of the species. Its absence or deprecation in liberal narratives isn’t an accident.
We mostly remember their failures (cold war conflicts, India partition etc) but that generation systemically decolonized the world and it's only gotten more incredible of an achievement
