I taught it to A-Level students for years and, frankly, it was always an exercise in decomission. I remember the nerves from the beginning, but it ended up being a great time. Enjoy!

They do have some economic impact; property taxes for one. A platform of making data centers pay their own way and not giving them any breaks, but otherwise making it relatively easy for data centers to be build RESPONSIBLY (water, power, e-waste, and decomission agreements) could pay off.

What is missing is that German economy isn't growing.

If the tech manufacturers are going to sell the public electronics that they plan to "decomission" in 1-2 yrs, it should have been made known to the buyers. THERE'S a class action law suit.Or we could just do what France/England did and make it illegal to sell products that are manufactured to fail.
