Someone just accused the Bellevue City Council of defunding the police.
Tuned into Bellevue's budget hearing in time to hear someone reference "the bike and ped activists from other cities" who want Bellevue to spend more money on street safety.
Bellevue is holding its final budget hearing tonight, and the issue of safety had already been front and center when it comes to how to use potential funds from a 0.1% sales tax and $20 VLF for transportation before the death of James Phillips on Bellevue Way earlier this month.
