That was not the case last summer when a driver from the same company made the same maneuver in a traffic circle further East on 41st and nearly struck the cyclist and their two children. #DenverWater needs to require better behavior from their lead-reduction sub-contractors. @denverite.bsky.social

Frank points out that @DenverWater recognizes our water belongs to everyone. "Buy and dry" won't work. My hope is that more Colorado utilities will make this a priority too. #WaterInTheWest2018

Denver is in a Stage 1 drought, and @denverwater is asking customers to reduce their water use by 20% to preserve water levels in our reservoirs. Stage 1 Drought restrictions and drought pricing are in place until April 2027. Learn more:

IMO, @DenCityCouncil needs to legislate trees in the right-of-way as a public utility.
Then, as @DenverWater replaces water lines, they can notify @BeASmartAsh when a block is complete.
Someone can then identify properties with space for trees & species that may thrive.
