The count is unverifiable because Russia runs filtration and depopulation on the left bank and reports nothing. The blockade serves that purpose. And if the mission can move 750 people, it can move one volunteer and her 70 animals. Commitments should not leave her as an afterthought.

It’s the black belt, like eastern or southwestern Georgia. Traditionally very Democratic (Northampton County hasn’t voted for a Republican since McKinley - the longest Democratic streak in the nation!), it’s experienced depopulation that’s made it more competitive. Until now.

I agree that this situation had to be resolved. And it's a relieve that people were allowed to return to (free) Ukraine.
But I'm just angry it had come to this, that Russia is causing this (by invading, killing & actively cutting of food supplies) and is getting its way by the depopulation.
