The wallpaper and top bar are both gray. The bar is extremely minimal, displaying only custom text on the left, a USB icon in the middle, and the time and date on the right. The wallpaper has a Polaroid card in the middle with six color strips –red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple — where the photo would be.

I learned that wbg is pretty bad at #svg #wallpapers, but #swaybg is perfect.

Now I want to make more, with inspiration from https://simpledesktops.com

#DesktopFriday
Widescreen desktop with a dark gray bar showing only the clock in the middle and the day in the top right corner. The wallpaper is the same dark gray color, with a slightly darker hue on the right indicating that it is actually a large circle that doesn’t fit. On top of that circle are eight smaller circles in the order and relative size of the planets in our solar system. They are all solid colors from the terminal palette: black Mercury, green Venus, blue Earth, red Mars, cyan Jupiter, yellow Saturn, purple Uranus and white Neptune. In the lower left corner is a small terminal window showing the SVG code of the wallpaper.

Extremely WIP.

#DesktopFriday
A screenshot of an empty desktop showing only a thin top bar with information about the keyboard layout, CPU, memory, battery, and network speed on the left, and the clock, date, and “do not sleep” icon on the right. The wallpaper is a photo of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Covered with lush vegetation hills and there a couple of small ponds under the heavy blue clouds.

This is a digital screenshot of a GNOME Shell desktop environment running over Debian GNU/Linux (Trixie). The top bar displays the date and time as "Fri, May 30th, 10:40 AM", along with system indicators like Wi-Fi, volume, battery (at 80%), and language set to Catalan ("ca"). The desktop is in workspace overview mode, showing multiple open windows and a bottom dock. The main visual focus is a high-resolution anime-style wallpaper from *Solo Leveling*. It features the protagonist **Sung Jin-Woo**, the "Monarch of Shadows" of the **Necromancer class**, centered. At his left stands **Iron**, a towering armored summon glowing in ethereal blue; at his right is **Igris**, a dark, knightly figure with glowing blue eyes and arcane symbols on his chest. The background is filled with swirling ember effects and a warm gradient sky, creating an epic fantasy ambiance. At the bottom, the dock shows several frequently used apps, including: * Firefox (browser) * Terminal * GNOME System Monitor * Nemo (file manager) * Mousepad (text editor) * IntelliJ IDEA * VS Code * Android Studio * VirtualBox * Telegram * TIC-80 (fantasy 8-bit system) On the left, workspace previews display overlapping windows: a Firefox session, file explorer, and terminal activity
