I know why they phrased it this way but I feel like referring to crypto as a "liquid" asset really misrepresents how easy it is to get money out of that ecosystem without inviting a bunch more dupes to buy worthless digital receipts.

In a way, though I feel only partially like I'm in this ecosystem, because I mostly do something pretty traditional - I essentially author a weekly column - and it's just the money side that is digital via patreon.
I've never hunted for brand endorsements (though I do sometimes get free games).

My experience in pods is that there is no ecosystem for connecting sponsors to small creators / groups. The money turns out to be where it always was: a mix of big guys shouting, and mis-selling, unwelcome intrusion.
Fix that funding disconnect, and we have civilised digital communication.

I think we’re starting to hit critical mass where people realize involvement in the digital ecosystem past essential items is always going to translate as a loss. Of time, money, patience, mental health.
