Belgium-Senegal: The 1913 Ghent World's Fair included a human zoo of 128 Senegalese in a "village." *10 months* after it closed, the Tirailleurs Sénégalais of the French Army were the bulk of the force defending Diksmuide and the Yser, the last tiny corner of Belgium not yet overrun by the Germans.

I had not realised it had been so long. In WWI timeline the western front has collapsed following the failed German Spring offensive, Diksmuide and Roeselare have been liberated and the battles at the Hindenberg line is beginning.
In just over a month, the duration of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine will match that of the entire World War I.
And the entire might of Russia and its totalitarian allies, as well as of the Kremlin's corrupt useful morons in the West, still can't defeat Ukraine.
