Not honoring the Budapest memorandum where Ukraine were given security guarantees in exchange for nuclear disarmement were the first major mistake. And now all the Maga crazyness that has too much support to be assumed to end when Trump dies of old age.

I agree that there is a marginal utility to campaign spending that is under appreciated, but unilateral disarmement isn't the answer.

Liz Cheney is not our friend. Stop taking advice on how to fix the Democratic Party from a woman who literally called Dems baby killers until her life was put in danger and then did the bare minimum,while still calling Dems baby killers.

He has said that the ideal scenario is nuclear disarmement in line with other nations but acknowledging that is complex and unlikely. In terms of policy it isn't to simply get rid of it but to work towards it. The options you've given don't have to be exclusive - one can lead to the other

Peace with Lebanon and Syria seems possible. The control and investigation of crimes by settlers follwed by return of property in West-Bank will need to follow. In Gaza an international force with full disarmement and well planned rebuilding seems the only viable option.

ROFL - I used to work for a nuclear disarmement nonprofit that had been bequeathed Joseph Rotblat's Nobel Peace Prize medallion. We developed school presentations around it, and at one point had 3 in one week. Instead of putting it back in the safety deposit box, I just ... drove around with it.

I suppose it would stop its military action immediately because the aim is not genozide but disarmement of Hamas, in order to prevent further massacres for as long as possible.

They are, and yet we're still seeing half a billion dollars budgeted this year on mass disarmement of millions of Canadians who are accused of, on average, 12 homicides per year.
