Religious freedom advocates told a gathering in Texas that armed conflict and state surveillance are undermining the methods Christians have used to defend persecuted believers. They said a divided global church is poorly placed to respond.

Disunity?
The DNC has invested way too much time (& money) in attacking the DSA while capitulating to the GOP agenda.
How about nixing the parasite consultant class that's losing all our elections?
Unite behind kicking out the losers.

I hope you'll read this from @edwardluce.bsky.social about what DC post election will be like. I hope Dems will take in the implicit warning that disunity or lack of resolve could lead to a waste of the next two years and more damage to the country from Trump. giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/...
A Republican midterm defeat will not be an earthquake
Democrats are likely to make gains in Congress but divided government is unlikely to derail Trump’s agenda

Completely unacceptable given how much of NATO's actions are done through unanimity. This is yet another point of Trump's trend of weakening the alliance. Blatant, intentional, and avoidable disunity in the face of Russian aggression.

The Auxiliary Board members of course keep the Continental Board of Counsellors informed and the Counsellors then take whatever steps they feel are called for."

To put on main something from the replies: other countries may have fruitful leadership contests, but in the Australian context they are not depicted as "which of these allies has the strongest vision?" but give rise to suggestions a contest is damaging, reflects disunity in the ranks, etc.

Certainly the media ecosystem here is *not* conducive to contested leadership ballots on the left/centre (or probably at all) because it just leads to constant yarns about disunity in the ranks rather than considering how allies might have similar but different visions for the way forward

John Stewart's criticism of mainstream media explains why Democrats keep losing: they project a false image of Republican disunity. In the end, all GOP gimps fall inline behind the MAGA leader. That frightening truth should drive you to the polls.

Making life worth living..

When the right says ‘communism’ what they mean is COMMUNITY

They don’t want communities coming together in common cause

They only thrive from disunity & conflict

Deny them
Last month, we refurbished 10 tennis courts in Crotona Park — the only public tennis courts in the Bronx with lights for night play.

We stopped by recently to see how things were going.

Thank you to NYJTL, USTA and Yonex for helping us deliver high-quality public spaces that New Yorkers deserve.

I did a few pre GDC gatherings in years gone. DisUnity was a fun one. So, this year, its me, Jason and Dan. All the best people! (Honestly, I'd be fine with that).
We should set a place and time and put the word out and see what happens.

“Moloch,” this name keeps coming up over and over again.Every day, “Moloch” keeps getting blamed for every incongruity in human reasoning. “Moloch caused the war” “Moloch causes disunity” “Moloch Moloch Moloch.”
And I’m like “Awww shit buddy, someone has to stop this Moloch fella. I gotta stop him!”

Both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party are linked to the divisions and disunity in the United States. Both right-wing and left-wing political propaganda are linked to the divisions and disunity. The culture wars are responsible for the divisions and disunity in the United States.

Immigration is the biggest source of disunity: the only issue where Reform is more trusted than Labour.

Labour holds the issue that unites the country; Reform the one that divides it.

Sounds familiar.
"This is a time for reflection, not retribution.... We have been through a dark & painful chapter in our history. But at a time of great challenges and disturbing disunity, nothing will be gained by spending our time and energy laying blame for the past." -Pres. Obama, 2009

National Disunity: Washington believed that a democratic republic requires people to stay united. Parties turn citizens against each other and create bitter rivalries.Distraction from Governing: He argued that political fights distract leaders from doing their jobs .

I think that’s part of what irks me most. It isn’t just that Albo himself has become Diet ScoMo - it’s that there isn’t a single other person in the Labor camp who is even trying to make a name for themselves being even marginally more progressive.

Taking “disunity is death” to absurd levels.
