Lovecraftian ambiance at Biidaasige.

The fog is heavy and menacing this evening, the city fully dissipated into the mist tonight.

Sunset paddle on the Don River.

Paddles like this in the shadow of the city are a special thing.

Sometimes this city gets something right, and this portlands redevelopment is one of those things.

A true gift to the city.

Nautical Toronto.

The skyline as seen crossing the eastern channel on the was to the Toronto Islands and the inner Harbour.

Never get tired of this view, though I do tire from paddling.

A morning punt down the Don River and Biidaasige Park.

Today for first time ever I almost got knocked off my paddleboard by a helicopter.

He came into land at helipad and flew right over my head, the blade wash was not something I expected.

Fish are flooding back into Toronto’s Don River
In 1969, a funeral had been held for Toronto's Don River. It had no life left due to pollution. The pollution levels were so bad the river caught on fire. I'm from Toronto and I remember for so many years that the Don was just this sludge. There was litter along its entire length. There were parts that suffered blockage from industrial runoff. To me, this is absolutely incredible. I never thought the Don River would be restored.

First salmon catch of the 2025 season on the Don River.

She's was a beaut and put up a good fight. She's been returned to the river to complete her task and spawn.
