#doomloops

I think I've been playing this game wrong. I've been trying to beat it "honestly" with RP appropriate builds and avoiding infinity damage doomloops but apparently that's the way you're supposed to play it.
Definitely have had playthroughs where I was nearly stuck at that fight and won only through getting Ramza up to warp speed with Tailwind while running away from Weigraf the whole time. The speed boost carries through to the second fight, which trivialized that part.

they were right! most of the stuff I write on has nothing to do with what I was trained in for the most part, primarily because reading and writing is a good way to get my mind out of doomloops
I do genuinely think the biggest mistake people make is reading this account like someone with a sinecure when I'm closeted at home for the foreseeable future
You can say a lot of things about Sharon's posting but "inflammatory"?

there's a very rationalist-brained inability to collapse probabilistic estimates to pragmatic approximations facilitating action in the world, which allows you to escape pascal mugging doomloops, etc. missing this grounding you can arrive at conclusions ~arbitrarily untethered from reality

So depressing to see the doomloops of a dying government again when it promised so much i.e. the bare minimum of vague stability.

[swarmslop]

unfortunately spark is not suitable in the swarm as I structure/prompt it now. doomloops way too much -- basically loop-seppukus by flooding its own context

not great. this might be a "wait for subagents" thing

SSRIs can help with OCD and breaking out of doomloops. They are fairly inexpensive, so it may be worth a try.

wild to think doomloops were a common problem just a few months ago. I don't think I've seen it happen once since qwen3.8 came out

i have to stick a block on it for part of the day (Block Site) to manage it, and on my phone i put the app in different places sometimes. i get stuck in doomloops when i'm a little blue otherwise.

mental tricks like this are how i tend to manage stuff that helps me in other ways sometimes.

The constant, direct experience of enchantment, disenchantment, and re-enchantment with AI — including at the highest levels of the industry — helps explain a lot about the last few years, and what comes next

In my humble opinion, the solution for a European slow decline (instead of a rapid uncontrolled collapse with doomloops re-enforcing each other) would be #EurAfrican | #Eurasian. But, alas with them believing in this NATO thing, you can guess how high the chances are of that happening.

Yeah.

In all things #collapse and #DoomLoops, England seems to always be at least two steps ahead (at least here in Europe). 🥰🙈

But we're catching up here, one can get fined for one thousand euros for carrying… #SuperGlue, so better avoid #Bavaria* and #Hesse as best as possible.

And they might as well be, given the structures of expediency that incentivize such doomloops of unoriginality also underlie the cultural asset-stripping mentality of the major AI corps.

You mean a policy designed to reduce gridlock, cut air and noise pollution, and lower #GHG emissions works as intended, despite all the 'chicken-little-the-sky-is-falling-down' doomloops? Hmmm...

Why One Bad Thought Ruins Your Whole Day (and How to Fix It)
🧠 Is Your Brain Running on a 'Victim Script'? Ever wonder why one minor inconvenience—like a spilled coffee or a blunt email—can spiral into a day-long existential crisis? You aren't just 'having a bad day.' You are likely trapped in Thought-Action Collapse, a biological glitch where your internal reflections aren't just thoughts—they are acting as involuntary commands for your body to react. In this episode, we dive deep into the mechanics of metacognitive awareness and how to dismantle the negativity bias that keeps you stuck in destructive doom loops. We explore why labeling yourself as 'an anxious person' is a biological trap and how to transition from "I am" to "I am experiencing." To stop reacting to every thought, you must create a cognitive gap by naming the feeling rather than becoming it. This simple shift in your metacognitive operating system allows you to move from impulse to agency. What You’ll Master in This Episode: - 🚀 Neuroplasticity 2026: The latest science on how to change your brain's default settings. - 🛑 Breaking the Victim Mentality: Why mundane habits are more damaging than major life crises. - 🔍 The 10-Minute Rule: How to create the essential cognitive gap between a thought and a reaction. - 🛠️ Default Mode Network Rewiring: Practical steps for cognitive reframing and identity de-labeling. Stop letting your fleeting feelings write your life’s permanent script. It's time to reclaim your personal agency and start the process of incremental brain rewiring. ✨ Ready to un-stick your life? Hit that subscribe button and share this with someone who needs to hear that they are not their thoughts. Let’s upgrade your internal OS together! ✅

No “nothing will ever change.”
Just real steps ordinary people can take to fix what’s broken.

I swear every failure of the whole damn left from Third Way to Tankie is due to people led into logical doomloops of futility because they treat the ineluctable math of social, political, and economic systems as opinion or superstition that will wither away before their strength of conviction.
