The 386 had 32 MB. Was going to run DOS, but a friend showed me Linux in 1992. DOS ran in DOSEMU and faster with a Linux filesystem. The Pii started with 128 MB, ended with 640 MB. My closest has an original Pentium laptop that works.

It's like Cannon Fodder, you have to play it on an Amiga (even if emulated), it just doesn't play right on anything else.
Oh, speaking of ancient emulations, remember this one?

I started dual-booting with DOS (+Windows 3.1). Then I got Quicken running under DOSEMU (IIRC, I was in an FAQ as the first person to report doing that), after which I didn't have need for DOS any more.

If you are interested in it, GOG has Ultima 4+5+6 as a bundle together for like $3 US. They're patched versions updated to work on modern PCs (likely using DosEMU or something similar). Might make things easier for when you want to stream them. www.gog.com/en/game/ulti...

DOS/VでWX3とVJE-Deltaを使ってたな。DOS/V用のIMEはLinuxに移行したあともしばらくDOSEMUの中で使っていた。

DOSEMU is using the processors 16 bit 8086 mode. The mode the boot loader uses before switching to 64 bit mode. ASM DOS should work fine.

Was a Unix admin before using MSDOS. Never had much respect for it. Got a 386 for MSDOS. Could run stuff on it 30x faster than the dead PC/xt. But in 92, Linux arrived, and DOS became a bootable partition, then used with DOSEMU, then noticed that ext3 (linux filesystem) faster, so just a directory.
