… if this didn’t start as a Dramoine fic it is certainly heavily influenced by that ship and is trying to cash in on the popularity of it/Harry Potter and that combined with how repetitive and completely untrusting of the reader to deduce ANYTHING for themself is makes me wanna DNF
But also… it’s very clear the author draws a lot of inspiration from Harry Potter… and like that too is drowning out the otherwise interesting premise - your wizards aren’t sexy if they’re screeching spells names over and over, and if their whole society is color coded 🫥

10. GUILT IS FAKE but I did have a weird moment when someone told me (after reading) Alchemised was originally a Dramoine fanfic. Given that I could not remotely have told you that I have decided I feel okay about it because it seems not to be deliberately riding a dangerous TERF's coattails.

Honestly, this is why I’m uncomfortable with authors being open about their trad pub books being their Harry Potter fanfic. I don’t care how good your barely disguised Dramoine rewrite is, you really want your name tied to *that* franchise?
