I keep saying this, but driveup/pickup orders thread the needle of “not wasting my own time waiting for the keys employee”, “forcing them to employ people to pick my orders (instead of self-checkout)” and “saves my bank account from impulse buys/denies them the impulse buy profit”

People are so freaked out that it possibly might be AI that has made this cute little video.
I say it is for entertainment and it is better than using AI at a fast food restaurant to take your burger order at the driveup.

That would be zero. They rarely give out napkins at driveup windows any more, or utensils. It's fun eating cole slaw or soup without a fork or a spoon.

Pulled up to the Safeway DriveUp and Go grocery pickup spots and there were 5 other black SUV/Crossover cars.
Absolute pandemonium. Several runners with flat carts piled with groceries shouting names and us shouting back our codes.
