The dungeons are obviously much simpler than anything in a DRPG because it's FF and FF has never been a crazy complex dungeons series, but you can tell that dna's in this. Every dungeon has a cute gimmick

something like SMT IV or V, which puts a lot of emphasis on boss fight spectacle and constant save/heal points, loses the long-term play of MP management and drpg-crawling
smth like the THADiA has MP, but not compelling moment to moment fighting

i can see that, even older isekais like konosuba have progression fantasy/stat stuff (arguably more inspired by rance world there but whatever) thats a shoe-in for drpg customization yeah

as a big drpg guy, there’s def a contingent who likes hard as hell dungeons, but i think what theyre more looking for is how “unfair” the game is
like old wizardry games having undead that permanent steal your levels? very unfair

stranger is one of the only games to fully lean into being an isekai story that just outight nails it, which is crazy, but it's also an incredible fit for the drpg formula

やることたくさんだし積んでたり途中のゲームもいっぱいだけどあまりの評判に「チームライアーズ」を始めてしまったんですがこれはまずい（褒め言葉）軽いノリのストーリーと遊びやすくて無限にやることあるハクスラDRPGはまずい（褒め言葉）

最近はエ◯スペリエンスのDRPGが100時間位超えたけどまだクリアしていない。そろそろクリアしたい気はする。
それ系だと「黄泉華」「剣の街（無印）（黒）」「シュバリエ」「バベル」「デモン◯イズ（無印）」はやった事がある。
結構内容がエグいものも多いので人に勧めた事は無い。
（ホラゲとかも出しているメーカーさんです）

Recently beat StarCrawlers Chimera. Hard to rec to DRPG folks but if you dug Dungeons of Dreadmor it's an iteration on that. Monster closet chaos, unexpected skill/item utility and dad jokes galore. If it leaned more into horror and scarcity could see it as a good shell for a System Shock roguelike.
