⚠️Warning - Cuteness Advisory⚠️

Great to see the first Eider broods appearing in sheltered bays around the coast. Known here in Shetland as 'Dunters', the ducklings are just wonderful to watch and those huge feet never cease to amaze!

Too windy for a video, but I've just come from watching these displaying Eiders (Dunters here) in the South Haven, Fair Isle. Impossible not to hear them and smile!

I try, although my own dumpster has been rather outsized this week as well, I must admit. Still, the goldfinches returned outside my window at the weekend to sing and the eiders are all back to nest. Eider duck calls always make me laugh, they sound like old gossips www.facebook.com/watch/?v=225...

I don't know if he realises this, but this list has got Eddie Marsan and Ian Dunt on it (plus - so I hear - a dozen or so that I already blocked).

How is that going to represent Humanism when every other member is fresh from the cunt factory?

Come on, Dunters.

Do better.
Here you go: an absolute beast of a starter pack, with many of the UK's most prominent humanists on it. Includes scientists, historians, philosophers, public figures, the New Humanist editorial team and Humanists UK staff. A network for reason and decency.

Dunters or powries are fairies that haunt old towers in English & Scottish lore. They make a sound like the stamping of flax or the grinding of barley. If the sound is too loud it is a bad omen.
