I am amending my previous post, I will now use 'dwarrow' as a plural for 'dwarf' and no one can stop me.

The Stepped Vaults of Kar’Zuun

These old dwarven vaults are overrun with elemental stone tierjackals commanded by the Stair-Sovereign - last of the Stratim Dwarrow. The documents are lost, but the Sovereign has carved what they remember into their secret chambers.

I loved Dwarrow in Blake’s 7.

20. The sole exception to the whole THERE IS ONLY WAR thing is that much of Regnum Regis and some Dwarrow cities get on pretty well. The Dwarrow are short, heavy beings unsuited to surface life who understand the value of having tall friends. They mostly trade ore and jewels.

currently working on two creatures for the Doomsong TTRPG: the lechenne and the dwarrocite

Pictured below: dwarrocite. He's cute but he'll eat your face, then your armour, then the foundations of your house

In lieu of repeating myself again, here's a snapshot of a Great Beast win condition: the Dwarrow all cracked open, their inner alchemy slurped up. The remains of the immortal Alfar recycled and still continue to, in some unspeakable fashion, exist across generations.

#AprilWorldbuilders. This one ties to next week's questions where we get into social aspects of your fantasy species/race. Today's Q: What do they eat? Do they eat roughly the same foods that humans do or is their diet more specialized?

…and having slain the Goblin King, Fafnir was pleased to take possession of his Axe +2, looted long ago from the Dwarrow Hoard of Kungstaagen

17. Asalfar/Khanalfar, Undead are immortal and have a bit more magic. Valfar have guerilla warfare par excellence. Great Beast goblins can become orcs which can become ogres at will. Dwarrow are made of stone. Vermen have abilities in keeping with their creepy crawly forms.

Aragorn could work too. Thranduil.... no. THORIN. Thorin invented the word "Lock in" in the dwarrow language

In the same way that he moved away from the word "gnomes" because of the connotations, in the latter part of his life, Tolkien was growing fairly dissatisfied with words like "elf" and "dwarf" too, and thought about rewriting LotR using the word "dwarrow" instead of "dwarf."

16. Dwarrow and Undead don't need food at all. Asalfar and Khanalfar require food for ceremony and energy only. Valfar and Vermen are mortal. The Great Beast needs food to reproduce. Ogres spawn Goblins, which become Orcs, which kill enemies, all of which are devoured by Ogres.

Dwarrow eat jewels and precious metals as sources of both energy and additions to their inner alchemy. Humans need ore to make weapons to murder everyone else. It's a perfect two_muscled_arms_clasping.jpg type situation.
