Emotional dysregulation can make it difficult to manage intense emotions or recover after an emotional response.

It is completely not. BPD (and most personality disorders) are about emotional dysregulation, i.e. the inability to compartmentalize what you're feeling in order to make calculated, rational decisions.

Assuming the BPD you’re referring to is Borderline personality disorder, I would strongly disagree. Vance changes his beliefs and priorities for identified gains, seeing what he thinks is best for him and acting as part of a calculated process. BPD variance is a response to emotional dysregulation.

It’s called anxiety disorder, Julie - but thank you! Dysregulation FTW

I'm concerned about the lack of general knowledge re: the long-term impacts of COVID19 on the population. Significant research on acute/long-term immune dysregulation from COVID19 infections has been published, which may impact how the next pandemic behaves. Public health is being a little blind atm

I haven't got access to the full article, but long-term sensory masking is really damaging.

Enduring the pain quietly or people will stare or say something negative.

It builds up and leaves us with a sense of compliance, that we must put up with physical pain and psychological dysregulation.

Congrats to Yimei Li with this interesting preprint! The impact of viral RNA on the innate immune response depends on the immune context and may lead to local immune suppression to stimulate viral growth: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
Defective Viral Genomes Reveal History-dependent Self-regulation of Type I Interferon Dynamics
Type I interferons (IFN) help clear a viral infection, but IFN levels can then decline to reset the antiviral state and avoid innate immune dysregulation. Such dysregulation can occur following infect...

in the past, for a long time, I was afraid to change, I thought I would lose my passion if I did.
Readers, this was not passion, it was emotional dysregulation and survival mode, and that prevented me to do some actual personal growth.

idk how plainly I can say this, but dismissing others bc they don't handle conflict "correctly" under duress is ableism

bad behavior is still bad behavior, but if you're creating a toxic environment around vulnerable people so you can look like the victim when they snap, you're a dangerous asshole

This is as bad as the chiro I saw talking about gut inflammation (normal gas pattern) on an xray, which causes thyroid dysregulation and how it interacts with the rest of your body (I’m sorry what)
