like im only lucky i know about the eCheck scam cuz its so common in commission circles. The moment I saw eCheck AND him spelling Check like "Cheque" I knew Barb i fuckin knew. Sucks too. They were saying they were gonna send me 400 dollars which is nothing to sneeze at thats for sure. Im so tired

I just paid my real estate taxes online. If you pay by echeck (which I did), no fee. However, if you pay any other way, credit, debit, Venmo, etc, they charge $40!! So, ppl who don’t have a checking acct, or enough $ in their acct (ie those who are struggling the most) get gouged. SUCH CRAP.

3) legitimate fines and fees come via Postal mail or being served. They don’t come through text, only come through email with history. Legitimate fines/fees are payable by check or echeck & most governments charge you the processing fee. Gift cards, instant transfers, and crypto are not legitimate.

at least 3 times this week while my head was exploding with Capitalism Stress because half of the money I need for rent is in an echeck payment that hasn't gone through and I've only gotten 4 hours of sleep almost every night, I just compulsively sat on the floor and looked at beyblades lol

I just received an email that an eCheck donation just cleared. OK that's new. It must be something substantial to warrant an email or a delay in clearing.

So I discovered something pretty annoying/bad with Kofi's payment system.
If you purchase an item using an eCheck, Kofi:
A) Does NOT remove the item from the store, so another person can still purchase it
&
B) Does NOT alert the seller than an item has been purchased until AFTER the check clears
