I also kind of forget about them, but then they go and release yet another album chock full of earworms. I’m glad they’re still plugging away.

My main issue with the article is the "if you don't like this, you're a bad person in all these ways I listed" tone.
I don't listen to much new music. I don't listen to music (except #EarWorms) except in my car and that's *classic* alt-rock radio.

I will now not let curiosity get the best of me. It does not sound like a song i would enjoy and i have enough unpleasant earworms to deal with being the father of a 5 yo Frozen fan.

How would I have heard it? I don't listen to radio, the streaming music I listen to is classical, & I avoid music with English lyrics because I get terrible earworms & it's worse when they have words I understand. I'm undoubtedly a musical outlier, but we do exist.

Weird earworms happen to me too, though this one's kind of specific. I imagine if you're big enough, a small voice ringing in your ears might be a far smaller person standing on your shoulder or on your head, trying to get your attention.

which freighted the lyrics with meaning like when you listen to an old folk song about a mining disaster or ship sinking and it hits harder knowing that it's real, even though on its own it's just kind of another song. but I don't think I get the rotating circus of earworms effect from suno. but

Suno songs are absolutely catchy to the limit of human songwriting ability. Not that any particular one is like the Monty Python joke that kills everyone, but the consistency is really impressive, since writing earworms has historically been treated as a fairly rare and valuable ability

That Rolling Stome article on “Choosin Texas” complaining about how people who haven’t heard the song are siloing themselves is hilarious to me. Popular Country music in the US is possibly the MOST siloed genre in the country, especially in the 21st century.
