seriously though, i know creativity isn't the same as productivity but give yourself a break! ebbs and flows! nurturing ideas and skill development don't always proceed in a linear fashion side by side. you've been making loads of art lately! also your music AU? you've been developing a story, no?!

I'd say 10-year terms but allow re-confirmation. A compromise between longevity to resist the flows and ebbs of popular opinion and democratic principles.
Or just make it a lot easier to impeach them for violating clear codes of conduct.

We have a problem with perceived impunity (based on experience of getting away with it). Big issue online since 2022. Ebbs + flows with offline offences.
Not so many perpetators that some visible rapid policing, prosecution could check the sense of impunity

Know how this is. My reading ebbs and flows, I think last year I read like 5 books or so, but this year uh not so much.
Audiobooks really helped, especially for "duller" books I could turn on while drawing/etc. Sometimes though it is just a mood thing, and that's OK.

I think a lot of men assume that women's anger over this stuff being a constant backdrop is something ebbs, flows and periodically reaches boiling points when actually the only two modes are "boiling point" and "one degree below the boiling point"
This is sexual violence as a form of terrorism. It is political violence and it is chilling and horrific, and AOC was absolutely right to be terrified that the goons (now pardoned) laying siege to the capital would rape her if they found her.
