Edaphic endemism is a term for plants that prefer to grow on uncommon rock types, like limestone, gypsum, or mafic/ultramafic (full of metals).

Use Rockd to find patches of weird geology around you and you will probably find weird plants there

Edaphic is often used to refer to soil properties that influence plant growth, as in "edaphic conditions", whereas pedologic refers more to the inherent properties of the soil developed through pedogenesis
