Are your CEOs and team over in Sweden asking what they do when their EDs have 100% EIPs, 12-16 hour waits, and no in-pt beds to care for sick pts?
Oh wait... Sweden fixed that before adding any private-pay options...

Yesterday the UAH ED had over 79 EIPs!
That’s more admitted pts than funded beds… Sick Admitted pts spilling over into EMS offload spaces, and over into areas for transitional beds (not meant for sick pts)

Our triage system completely fails when we have DOZENS of triage level 2 and 3 pts in our WRs, with added severe overcrowding and unsafe levels of EIPs (EIP = SICK admitted pts that should be on specialized wards in the Hosp).
