Well, they would be if they were an electable party but they’re not. So a policy of continuing to work on improving our relationship and terms with the EU seems like a far better plan than refusing to have that conversation in case the Daily Mail loses its shit.

It is possible that Labour’s current tilt to the left to be precisely because under Starmer they lost voters to the Green Party over various issues.
