#electable
Cannot get over how electable just drifting away from a constituent who asked you a challenging question makes you.

Getting corporate PAC money out of politics is electable.

Universal childcare is electable.

Universal school meals is electable.

Medicare for All is electable.

Moratorium on data centers is electable.

Francesca Hong IS electable.

Any “Democratic strategists” suggesting we ditch our trans friends to be more “electable” can fuck off forever.

Let the *most electable* person win
Here's my hope: A spirited and polite primary process full of excellent candidates. I don't care what their skin color or sexuality or gender is. Let the best person win.

He's electable if we elect him.

The black guy named Barack Hussein Obama got elected president twice. There is no "are they electable" argument. Anyone is electable if they're charismatic and solid on policy.
Because the priority should be winning. The Dem presidential candidate should be 1)is this person not awful(is there something disqualifying ), 2)is this person the most electable Dem that is not awful and didn’t do something disqualifying. Is it fair? No. But that’s a fight for a different time

To the people who keep saying, “James Tallarico is more electable”…

Explain yourself.

An ELECTABLE centrist
Why is he unacceptable? I thought you would be onboard with a centrist running for the Democratic nomination.

regardless of which candidate you support I really hate this bit where pundits pretend being electable in a primary makes you electable in the general election

just ask senators Hershel Walker, Blake Masters, Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock, and Sharron Angle how that worked out for them
August 5, 2026 at 3:24 AM
Yes, no doubt the Senate is in play. Only if we have electable candidates.
April 20, 2026 at 5:11 AM
this is the attitude that made fascism electable
June 15, 2025 at 5:41 PM

If you need a $60 million crutch, are you really electable?
July 28, 2026 at 12:54 AM
Where “I’m electable because I’m a white, Christian man,” somehow doesn’t count as identity politics. 🤷🏼‍♀️
March 4, 2026 at 4:00 PM
“electable” is literally whatever we decide it is
June 29, 2025 at 3:30 AM
I don’t know what would make for the most “electable” candidate, but I feel like so many liberals are forfeiting any concern for policy that would help the working class to the ghost of some electable president. I don’t like the energy
November 11, 2024 at 6:04 AM
The theory that “electable” means “work to appease right-wing bigots under the assumption that majorities agree with them, at least partially, and they prioritize it when voting” has been tried. It has failed. Try something else.

Is a socialist candidate electable in a purple state? A modestly interesting question.

A more interesting question: what if socialist candidates, despite facing opposition from their own party, not only win, but overperform?

What if the moderate assumption of themselves as “electable” is exposed?
August 3, 2026 at 7:03 PM
why don't you point that energy at the organization who can't find someone electable?
