My kiddo had to pick electives for Middle School. One of the electives is like a "general computer technical" - where they learn all kinds of things - but they list Game Development on there.

If there are engineering classes available in the core curriculum, sure! This is what liberal arts education is about. The bulk of your learning is focused on your major and you take electives that qualify for core curriculum credits. Hopefully what results is a *well-rounded* expert in their field.
