#elites
This was the No Kings election. Do not let comfortable elites rewrite history. As elites collapsed, millions of Americans organized to stop a would-be king and his corrupt coterie of crooks, collaborators, and cowards.

Together we made history. And we're not done. ❌👑

Everyone I know wants consequences. It's only you political elites that are looking to "bridge divides."

"instantly reversible"

you get the feeling that American elites have no idea how good they had it
Oh, found the guy who thinks the States can turn on a dime and get Canada and Europe back.

Unreal to finally see a politician stepping up like this and calling the elites out publicly
Omg HAHA the finance minister walks up while NDP Leader Avi Lewis is live on air speaking to David Cochrane.

Avi immediately starts pressing him on giving way more deductions to big business than they’re spending on affordability measures for Canadians 👀👀👀

I need to understand why our elites are so desperate to not spend money

Two years ago Trump won narrowly. American elites immediately folded and rushed to comply as he moved to consolidate power.

Regular people stood in the gap. They organized and fought back and protected each other.

Tonight belongs to them.

refusing to see that elites doing crimes calls for accountability is, implicitly—but also fairly explicitly—an argument that what crime IS is something only non-elites can do and be punished for
I am so fucking tired of "seeking justice" being framed as "getting even." Arresting and/or impeaching people who are legitimately guilty of actual crimes is not revenge. It is justice. Innocent people should be released from detention and guilty people should be in prison. Again, that is JUSTICE.

Texas is blue now, we say “tricoastal liberal elites.”

This is so true: the elites folded and the rank and file people organised and pushed back.

It's hard to know what to even say about this other than it seems deeply ingrained in the culture of Federalist Society legal elites that they can just make up any constitutional rules they want out of thin air.

How many effete media elites in their ivory towers have even read Glasslands? Wildly out of touch
we are now able to confirm that bluesky is real life

Truly embarrassing state.

Coastal elites with their heads fully up their ass.
Meanwhile California seems poised to finally take our long deserved title of "biggest rubes in the union", as the billionaire tax seems poised to fail, but one of the propositions that ensures you can never tax billionaires again seems poised to succeed. We're just a bunch of maleable idiots.

Ultra-wealthy elites. Political corruption. Corporate monopolies. Anti-immigrant nativism. Vast inequality.

These problems aren’t new. In the late 1800s, they dominated the country during America’s first Gilded Age.

We overcame these abuses then, and we can do so again.

This week was a reminder.

The Coastal Elites of Youngstown diners are out of touch with real America, the people in my group chat.

this is part of the reason why I don't think "move on" is going to be a tenable position even for dem party elites

"Ivy League elites will tell you..."

i don’t think you can underestimate the importance of twitter with this. a lot of elites and media are still very active there, and they’re all participating in - and driving - a detachment from the real world
Remember when all the Smart Thinkers took Trump's incredibly thin margin of squeaking by as evidence of a huge mandate and the new American thirst for all-encompassing fascism? And thus every business leader had to go all-in on destroying civil society and any vestige of human dignity? Well.
trying to remind myself that "Democrats will absolutely take the House in 2026" was a bonkers proposition like 16 odd months ago

Fucking blue state coastal elites

Elites want you think socialism is the same as doctrinaire Marxism. It ain't never been that.
November 6, 2026 at 3:49 PM
Don't get stuck in one perspective on Trump. Was he the master who forced elites to do things they didn't want? Was he a tool used by elites to do things they did want? Both things are true. Trumpism isn't just one person, and the election didn't end it. It gave us the power to end it, if we try.

Chants of "who's house, Gina's house" wafting through the Texas gop elites party is the vibe.
