The Founders embodied that contradictoriness too. They were all big John Locke weebs. While the roots of the break might've been the naturally conservative act of being mad about taxes, they convinced themselves it was all about Enlightenment Liberalism and they were heirs to the Glorious Revolution

Obviously only my own experience, but almost immediately T made me feel more embodied and alive, and like the "noise" in my head finally went away. and this was before any physical changes. In fact some of the physical changes i'm ambivalent about. That kinda made me believe in "chemical" dysphoria
